This privacy policy applies to all Stillzone apps. We are committed to protecting your privacy and keeping your data minimal and local. We do not track you, show ads, or share your data with third parties.

Stillzone Check-In

Local Storage

Check-In stores your schedule, trusted contact information, and check-in status locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device except when sending notification emails.

Notifications

Check-In requests permission to send you local reminder notifications about your daily check-in window. These notifications are handled entirely on your device.

Email Notifications

If you miss your check-in window, Check-In sends a single email notification to your trusted contact via our API endpoint. The email includes your display name, the date, and the check-in window that was missed. This is the only data transmitted from your device.

Stillzone Check-Out

Check-Out stores your trusted contact information and active session data locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device except when sending notification emails.

Check-Out requests permission to send you local notifications about your active session. These notifications are handled entirely on your device.

Email Notifications

If your check-out session expires without you ending it, Check-Out sends a single email notification to your trusted contact via our API endpoint. The email includes your display name, the date, and the session duration that was set. This is the only data transmitted from your device.

What We Don't Do

  • No analytics or tracking
  • No data sharing with third parties
  • No account creation or login required
  • No cookies or tracking technologies

API and Email Service

Our API endpoint (api.stillzone.app) only receives the data necessary to send email notifications when a check-in is missed or a check-out session expires. We implement basic abuse prevention measures, including rate limiting. Email notifications are sent through a third-party email service provider (e.g., SendGrid). Please refer to their privacy policy for details on email transmission.

Website

Our website (stillzone.app) does not use cookies, tracking technologies, or analytics. We do not collect personal information from website visitors. The website is hosted on Vercel, and standard server logs may be maintained by the hosting provider.

Data Deletion

You can delete all data stored by any Stillzone app at any time by using the "Reset setup" option in the app settings. This clears all local data on your device. For Stillzone apps, no data is stored on our servers except temporary email transmission logs maintained by our email service provider.

Children's Privacy

Our apps are not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Stillzone apps after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
